# Coupons

A coupon code will be entered when a rider goes into the Rental Details page. This can be from scanning a QR code, entering a bike number, selecting it from the list of available units, or clicking on the > when viewing the system rates.

{% hint style="success" %}
All coupon codes are case-sensitive. Double-check coupon codes shared with riders are exactly as they appear on the dashboard.
{% endhint %}

From the Rental Details screen, click "Enter code here". A keyboard will come up and allow the user to enter a coupon code.

Once Apply is selected, the rider will receive a success message. Note: If they do not receive this, it's important to always check the coupon code shared with them is in the correct case.

Once it is applied, the associated perk of the coupon will be shown. After the rental, a user can view their [rental history](https://documentation.movatic.co/feature-guide-2/rentals/user-experience-rental-history) and see the coupon applied.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://documentation.movatic.co/movatic-app/user-experience-coupons.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
