# System Status

When you click on **Settings**, below the **General** tab you will find the **System Status.** The System Status enables you to set your system to be **Open** or **Temporarily Closed** on the app.

If you select **Temporarily Closed**, it will give you the option to type a reason as to why you are closed so that your users will be informed.

When you click on **Save** button, this will save the update and you will see a red banner pop up that will indicate that your system is closed and remind you to read our documentation on how it impacts your users.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** The temporary closure reason will be displayed on the app as an error message only when the user clicks on the faded closed button when they attempt to make a rental.
{% endhint %}

Once you are done, don't forget to click **Save** to update the settings. Below are examples of how these are shown on the app:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://documentation.movatic.co/admin-site/settings/general/system-status.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
