How to Report a Bug

Movatic works hard to keep our software as reliable as possible. To maximize reliability, Movatic invests heavily in internal testing, robust process, and a beta program.

With that being said, bugs do occur and we understand how important it is to get these issues resolved as possible. In order to solve your issue, it's important that we get as detailed of an error report as possible.

Steps to Submitting an All-Star Bug Report

  1. Is this a software bug? Movatic is only able to assist in solving software bugs. If the hardware is not working, please specify. Note that if an issue is occurring across multiple different locks, bikes etc. then it's a software bug. If you aren't sure which category your issue falls into, please contact us as we want to make sure your issue is addressed.

  2. Get a clear understanding of the issue(s). Is this a one-off error or is the bug repeatable?

  3. How did you get the bug to occur? What page were you on and what process were you performing?

  4. Did you receive an error message? Include the details if so.

  5. Send us a screenshot or a video if possible.

  6. Submit your ticket via email [email protected] or use the support button on the bottom right corner of the admin site.

When a user uses the Report Problem feature in the app, it goes to the admin site for the system's admin to resolve. If it's a software bug, the admin is responsible for collecting the required information on the bug and reporting it to Movatic.

Movatic does not provide front-line user support to users. A few examples of this: general how to, refunds, assistance ending rentals. This type of support must be done by the system operator, with system operators passing all software bugs to Movatic for resolution.

How to Add/modify an Admin

  1. Go to the admin tab which can be found within system settings.

  2. From the admin page, you'll see a table of all of your current Admins.

  3. Click the Add button to create a new admin.

  4. Enter the new admin's information and click create, which will send your new admin an email to set their password. Be sure to check the spam folder if you don't see an email after a few minutes.

  5. After the admin is created, you'll be returned to the Admin tab, where you can click on the admin you created to view details and make edits (e.g. delete an admin or modify their permissions).

If all user permissions are disabled, an admin user will only be able to view the dashboard.

How to add QR codes to your devices

With QR codes, we need to assign a certain set of numbers out to different systems and partners since every single QR code needs to be unique across the Movatic system. If you don't have QR code numbers assigned, please reach out to [email protected] for further assistance.

Once you have QR code numbers assigned, your codes will look like this:

qr.movatic.co/?<number>

Replace the <number> with the assigned numbers you're given to get your QR code.

Input the entire code into a QR code generator. Once a QR code is generated, you may immediately test the code by using the scan option in the Movatic app. When this is complete, you'll repeat these steps for any remaining units.
